For two consecutive days I have been trying to resolve an issue with  Slideing notes and Shadowbox JS plugin which I use to generate interactive galleries for my reports cases. The issue was on certain circumstances sliding window will not open the case report. Instead, it will remove all the page content. I was informed that the pathology page has a large gap when it is displayed. This didn’t make sense at all. I do most of my development and testing on Firefox 3 and it seems that I forget sometimes that browsers handle padding and margins in CSS differently. Well, this problem is now fixed and pages should render correctly on Safari, Chrome and IE7. However, I found out that IE6 to be notorious and many elements didn’t work. Since this browser is already old and known to cause problems to begin with, I decided to drop the support for it all together. If you are using Internet Explorer 6 please update to version 7 or use a modern browser like Firefox.

I decided to write posts for the progress I am making everyday. This will remind me of what is still needed to be done and keep me motivated when I see the number of pages start to add up. I am expecting no one probably will read this. But I like to write and I can’t help it.

So what’s new? 3 diseases all at once. Basal cell nevus syndrome, odontoma, and osteoma. However, it seems that slide note plugin is having trouble when the page words pass certain number in a page. I am working with the developer to get this fixed so I’ll wait and see. Till then Basal cell page is inoperable.

I just finished adding [cref keratocystic-odontogenic-tumor] page. [cref ameloblastoma] has been added too. Only single case for KCOT was added. More cases will be added today. Ameloblastoma page need last two cases’ reports written. Since I am planning to make updates on daily basis, it is good idea to inform you with what has been updated.

In the Differential Diagnosis (DDX) in disease page, I added synaptic links. So now it is possible to click on a disease from differential to go directly to that disease page to know more about it. There are few links now and I will keep updating the links from time to time.

I added slight visual cue (bold and light blue color) to the available links so you can tell which links are available.
