3D Interactive Cone Beam CT Anatomy
Objectives:
Interact with 3D rendered surface and volume data set acquired from the i-CAT and the NewTom 3G Cone Beam CT systems. The interaction includes rotation, zooming in and out and panning.
Significance:
This module aims to illustrates how to interact with 3D data sets rendered using different project techniques (see guided navigation section). This is very helpful to acknowledge how a Cone Beam CT data set can appear when rendered using different parameters. The purpose of this is to give you a sense of how a 3D skull generated from CBCT images looks like. Try to visualize various structures and identify them on your own.
Navigation:
Click on any image to open the interactive movie file and interact with it using the left mouse buttons and the controls visible in the movie window. Alternatively, you can right click on the image and save the file to hard disk and play it in a separate viewer.
Note: The first movie is significantly larger than the other as it provides 360 degrees rotation as opposed to 180 degrees for the other movies.
