There are different companies who do mobile CBCT in the States. I was thinking the same, however; I heard from a colleague of mine that his friend got a CBCT scan in one of the mobile CBCT and the person taking the scan for him was standing beside the CBCT while the scan was being taken. I'm not sure if the operator is aware of the risks involved but this is certainly a lot of radiation dose if not properly shielded. Maybe this warrant a short post about the risks of radiation exposure.
I will email some mobile CBCT companies and check for the measures they are taking to shield the van. I'm interested to know that as well.

I am unfamiliar with regulations regarding the use of CBCT in the United States. Will the company be permitted to operated the device before demonstrating (to the appropriate authorities) sufficient shielding of the radiation?

Yes, it would be interesting if the company can post information about the shielding of the van and how did they get that done (if any)

This is indeed a very interesting article. A mobile CBCT, thats cool !!

I hope that vehicle has enough thickness of lead or equivalent to it to prevent radiation exposure to people outside that vehicle.
